Beautiful Tears

There are a lot of spoilers in this comic (up to chapter 590!). You've been warned! X3

Ok, I've had the idea for this comic for a while now, and I finally drew it out. It was originally going to only be about 10 panels long, but I just kept adding to it. Oh well.

I really wanted to expand on that scene between Marco and Shanks when they were talking in front of the graves of Ace and Whitebeard. I'm sure Marco isn't the self-loathing type, especially since he gave Squardo a lecture about it, but I wanted to draw him this way. And I also thought, 'Wouldn't it be cool if Marco's tears turned into his signature blue flames? That would be so purdy!' And that thought essentially gave birth to this ridiculously long comic. And since I love ShanksxMarco, I had to throw a little bit of fluff in there as well. XD
